Mae CarTrefUn yn brosiect cymunedol uchelgeisiol wedi’i leoli yn Hermon, Sir Benfro.
Yn ystod 2022 daeth yn amlwg bod angen atgyweirio to y capel yn helaeth, nid oedd arian wrth gefn y capel yn ddigonol i drwsio’r to a penderfynwyd gwerthu’r capel i’r gymuned leol. Sefydlwyd cynllun benthygiadau a cyfranddaliadau a chodwyd digon o arian i brynu’r adeilad a rhoi bywyd newydd iddo fel ased cymunedol.
Y bwriad yw troi'r llawr gwaelod yn ganolfan dreftadaeth i arddangos y cyfoeth o hanes lleol sy'n bresennol ym mhentref Hermon a'r ardaloedd cyfagos ar waelod bryniau hardd y Preseli.
Y tu cefn i'r llawr gwaelod mae cegin fechan a festri yn barod a fydd yn troi'n gaffi.
Bydd yr ardal mesanîn yn dod yn 2 fflat llawr cyntaf a fydd yn cael eu rhentu am dymor hir fforddiadwy at ddefnydd preswyl.

CarTrefUn is an ambitious community project based in Hermon, Pembrokeshire.
During 2022 it became clear that the chapel needed extensive roof repairs, the chapel's reserve funds were insufficient to repair the roof and it was decided to sell the chapel to the local community. A loan and share scheme was set up and enough money was raised to buy the building and give it a new lease of life as a community asset.
The plan is to turn the ground floor into a heritage centre to exhibit the wealth of local history that is present in the village of Hermon and its surrounding areas at the base of the beautiful Preseli hills.
To the rear of the ground floor there is already a small kitchen and vestry area that will become a cafe.
The mezzanine area will become 2 first floor flats that will be affordable long-term rentals for residential use.
CarTrefUn is a Community Benefit Society registered with Cooperatives UK Limited.

We want to showcase the exciting and diverse heritage of our local area both historic and modern.

Cafe
Mae gan Sir Benfro rai o gynhyrchwyr bwyd mwyaf rhyfeddol Cymru. Ein nod yw rhedeg caffi fforddiadwy sy'n defnyddio cynnyrch lleol a thymhorol yn bennaf i greu prydau syml, blasus.
Bydd y caffi hefyd yn rhoi cyfleoedd gwaith i bobl leol gan gynnwys oriau rhan amser i bobl ifanc.

Pembrokeshire has some of the most amazing food producers in Wales. We aim to run an affordable cafe that primarily uses local and seasonable produce to to create simple, tasty meals.
The cafe will also provide job opportunities for local people including part time hours for young people.

Mae diffyg eiddo rhent tymor hir i bobl leol yn ein hardal. Mae ail gartrefi ac eiddo rhent gwyliau yn golygu nad yw pobl ifanc yn gallu aros yn agos at eu teuluoedd pan fyddant yn dewis gadael cartref. Bydd dwy fflat fforddiadwy yn cael eu creu ar lawr uchaf y capel, gan greu incwm i helpu gyda chynnal a chadw’r adeilad, yn ogystal â darparu llety hanfodol i’r rhai sydd ei angen.

There is a lack of long term rental properties for local people in our area. Second homes and holiday rental properties mean that young people are not able to stay close to their families when they choose to leave home. Two affordable flats will be created on the upper floor of the chapel, generating income to help with maintenance on the building, as well as providing essential accommodation to those who need it.
